Abstract:
This chapter examines the benefits achievable when radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is implemented into the fashion supply chain, and is based on two of our earlier studies in this field. A theoretical feasibility study demonstrates how the logistics processes of a typical fashion retail store (RS) and distribution centre (DC) should be reengineered to implement RFID technology successfully, and provides a quantitative evaluation of the impact of applying RFID technology to those processes. ...
