Fast Fashion Systems
an informa business
Fast fashion is an industrial trend that refers to the concept of shortening lead me
(produc on, distribu on) and off ering new products to the market as fast as possible.
Despite an abundance of research results, there is no comprehensive reference source
that covers the state-of-the-art fi ndings on both theore cal modeling and empirical
research on fast fashion systems. This edited volume consists of three sec ons - review
and exploratory studies, analy cal models, and empirical research – made up of many
interes ng contribu ons in the respec ve domain. The result is a well-balanced handbook
which includes both theore cal results (from various perspec ves) and empirical fi ndings.
This volume will be of interest not only to those involved in the fashion industry, but also
to academics and prac oners in the wider fi elds of business, manufacturing engineering,
systems engineering and supply chain management.
ABOUT THE BOOK SERIES
Communica ons in Cyberne cs, Systems Science and Engineering (CCSSE) is a cross-

to a rapidly growing worldwide interest in a cyberne c and systemic methodology with an
ever-increasing capacity to deal with new challenges in a way that tradi onal science cannot.
The series aims to become a comprehensive reference work on and guide to developments
within the fi eld and strategies required for be er implementa on of advances, with a view
to environmental protec on and sustainable social and economic development. The CCSSE
