To give you an even better sense of what a one-day scoping and planning session might be like, this section and the one that follows describe pieces of an actual scoping and planning session.
This example session is about a project to develop a product. As it happens the product is a software product, positioned vaguely in the financial services area. The fact that it’s software is unimportant. Everyone understands products and that they get developed. Everyone also understands that products have features and so too does this one.
