Chapter 13. Troubleshooting T.37 Store-and-Forward Fax

Implementations of T.37 store-and-forward fax on Cisco IOS voice gateways require that the gateway handle both telephony and Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) interface connections along with an image-conversion process. These additional tasks result in a higher degree of complexity for the voice gateway compared to handling and processing a standard fax passthrough or fax relay call.
