Acquisition Career Management Information System: A database managed by the Federal Acquisition Institute that compiles educational and training information on the federal acquisition workforce.
Antideficiency violation: Occurs when a federal agency obligates or expends funds in excess of the amount available in its appropriation or fund if not authorized by law.
Appropriation: Authorization by the U.S. Congress for the federal government to incur obligations and pay for them from the U.S. Treasury.
Appropriations bill: Proposed law also referred to as appropriations legislation to authorize the expenditure of public funds for specific purposes by the federal government.
