Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the Cloud Computing Standards activities and the standards evolution lifecycle driving standards development and adoption. Drivers for standardization are also discussed, including the role of the federal government. Finally, Cloud Computing Standards and the National Institute of Standards and Technology Conceptual Reference Model is presented to facilitate the identification and mapping to specific usage scenarios.
