4.1. Introduction
There are a lot of options available when looking at federated identity solutions and deployments. The first choice you must make is whether to go with an internal solution or an external hosted solution. The next choice you must make is to decide which implementation or product to go with. In this chapter, we will start by going over the criteria you should look at when making your choice. Then we will cover two of the most commonly used options: Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and Microsoft Azure Access Control Services (ACS).
