17 Wiring, Installation, and Commissioning
17.1 INTRODUCTION
The field devices are to be installed, wired together, and commissioned properly before they are put into operation. Electrical installation wise, Foundation Fieldbus and PROFiBUS-PA are identical since they conform to iEC 61158-2. Again, Highway Addressable Remote Communication (HART), Foundation Fieldbus, and PROFiBUS-PA use existing wires for their proper operation. HART devices are discussed separately since their installations differ on several counts.
