Working with Files
Now that we’ve had a tour of File Explorer, we’ll delve into some ways to use it to manage files and folders, as well as how to perform common tasks such as renaming, copying, and moving items.
What Are Files?
Simply put, a file is container that holds a particular kind of information, such as an image, a song, or a document. In Windows, every file has a name and an extension (extensions are usually three characters, but it could be two or four) separated by a period, for example, family budget.xlsx.
