Film and television production costs money. Lots of money. It is not a misnomer when they call it the motion picture industry. On one side you have the creative elements and on the other, the business people. In between lies a small battleground. I say small, because there is an awareness on both sides of what the problems are and an accommodation because of them.

The actor plays an important role in this real-life drama. When one reads about the excesses of the movie business, the finger is usually pointed at directors. But actors also have their share. It is a small community, and one can get an unsavory reputation very quickly.
