Films, like literature, painting, music, dance, theater—all art forms—come in many shapes and sizes. This book concentrates on the narrative/dramatic form of film, but obviously, even here there is great variety. In this chapter we will explore some of that variety as it is manifested in a film’s style and dramatic structure.
