As you continue on through film school, shaping your voice and building your network, you will need to develop an exit strategy. As mentioned, students (particularly graduate students) often spend thousands of extra dollars on tuition (i.e. debt) for the sole purpose of delaying this transition into the real world. In this chapter I’ll talk about the transition between film school and real life, and some ways that you can prepare for it.
