Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in May, 1932, Dean Tavoularis moved to Los Angeles as a child where he grew up surrounded by the great film studios at the height of their glamour. He attended the Otis Art Institute (now called Otis College of Art and Design) and started work at Disney as an animation “in-betweener,” and later a storyboard artist, eventually moving to the studio’s live-action ...
