Editing Basics: Placing Your Shots

Now that you’ve marked up your material in Final Cut Express, you can go on to put them into the Timeline. FCE has several different ways, usually three or four, to do most of the editing functions. You can edit directly into the Timeline with the mouse, in the Viewer with buttons, or with keyboard short- cuts, which is probably the most efficient way to edit in most instances.
