Preface to the Fourth Edition

It was in the year 2005 that the 1st edition of this book was published. Now, in 2011, it is in its 4th edition. In between, the book has undergone ten prints. This success has been solely due to the patronage of teachers, students and other readers alike. I very humbly express my debt of gratitude to all of them.

In between the 1st and the 3rd editions, while maintaining the original focus and character of the book, many major additions and improvements were made.
