Chapter 21 Growth by Accretive Action and Dissolution

This chapter is about growth and decline by acquiring another nonprofit to make a new larger organization or getting rid of one (a divestiture) or by changing the character of the corporation form a nonprofit to a for-profit or the reverse (a conversion). These types of transactions are not uncommon, but they present significant hurdles that the nonprofit manager has to be aware of before engaging such thoughts.
