Although some people worry more than others, most people take precautions, buy insurance, or take other actions to reduce risk. Life is filled with risks. We can’t eliminate them all, and most of us realize that reducing or eliminating certain risks takes time, money, and vigilance. Some people hardly ever leave their homes because they worry so much about the bad things that can happen to them in the world. (The COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t helped those prone to such thoughts.)
