The manner by which a society defines financial literacy informs about the basis for its values, structures, and relationships. I write this conclusion, in part, during the weekend immediately following the attack on the United States capitol by a group of dissatisfied Americans, and, in part, after the inaugural of Joe Biden as President of the United States. Regardless of one’s political perspective the entire scene on January 6, 2021 was a very sad commentary about the collective unwillingness or inability to manage tensions associated with the ideological differences in the population.
