Introduction

This final chapter summarizes some key themes discussed in the book and examines recent trends that are influencing how entrepreneurs form and finance their new ventures. We begin with reflections on what entrepreneurs should consider when raising business angel (BA) investment, followed by what constitutes an investable business for a BA. We then revisit the “lean ­start-­up” concept, discussed in Chapter 3, to consider how this celebrated approach to achieving a ­product–­market fit has advantages as well as drawbacks in formulating an investable business.
