When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6 NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
This is the mindset bit. To really DO your Thing you have to BELIEVE in your Thing, which most of the time will mean you need to believe in you. There’s only so much I can tell someone about their Thing before I have to wait and see if they ‘do it’, because that ‘sitting at home on your own being amazing’ thing is a very real option. It can be scary to finally find your Thing and realise how BIG it is. Even when you’ve wanted something for a long time, when you get it you can still freak out. I see it all the time. I do it myself. I even freaked out over this book deal and went quiet on the publishers. Yes I know it’s daft, but it’s what we do when we get what we want.
