Is eve’s story Venkatesh’s story?
In 2016 and 2018 the first week of class was devoted to events that led to the creation of the cartoons in Figures 1 and 2. In the second week of the semester students read an unfamiliar text, a hypothetical scenario titled “Eve’s story” (Tolich, 2016a). This activity, building on the last, was meant to further exercise the students’ ability to recognise their ethical intuitions and interrogate them. After the experienced shift in their frame of reference, how would they now view other’s practice?
