Festivals and Markets
Since you are going to be putting so much effort into your film, you may as well enter it in as many festivals as possible. Bringing your film to a market means looking for a distributor who will release your film to a wider audience. Normally this is done when said distributor sees a screening of your film and expresses his/her interest to you directly. At major markets, like Cannes, Sundance, etc., the competition is stiff; you may want to do a little bit of research and determine if there is going to be a distributor in attendance to the festival who you can invite to your screening.
