New filmmakers know that the script is the basis for the budget and schedule. What they often fail to appreciate is that all three (budget, script, and schedule) must actually affect one another. Your script, budget, and schedule must participate in a dance together. Taking turns who leads and who follows is the key to the beautiful dance that is your movie.
