The Fuck-Up…

Music sounds better with familiarity. Without a doubt, songs are more enjoyable when you’ve heard them before, and the songs we enjoy most are the ones we are familiar with. Thus, it’s easy to fall in love with the idea of having familiar songs in our films. However, the cost and difficulty of obtaining the legal rights to use popular songs far too often crushes filmmakers’ dreams of using the songs they love.
