The Fuck-Up…
Many filmmakers make movies with the end goal being “we’ll submit to film festivals.” However, submitting your film to top festivals and then simply awaiting fame and recognition is as likely to work out as any other Hollywood fairytale. For every festival success, there is a lot more happening behind the scenes than just the happy ending we all read and dream about. Submitting to festivals and merely awaiting success is not nearly enough of a plan.
