Chapter 13. Getting Started: Emily and Don’s First Table

In this chapter, we look at the issues that arise when starting to use Fit tables with an existing application. What tests should be developed first? Who should start on these tests? How are tables designed? How many tables are needed? How much should the structure of tables reflect the current architecture of the application? Should the tests be comprehensive in small areas, or is it better to start with a broad brush stroke? We answer some of these questions in this chapter; others are tackled over the rest of this part.

Programmers: The fixture code for the tests in this chapter is given in Chapter 31.
