Acting as the Janitor

A Scrum master becomes a Scrum janitor when he or she cleans up all the messes that happen on a Scrum team. If the team needs a change in one of their digital tools, the Scrum janitor is the one they turn to. This person knows every workflow and every setting in the system. The Scrum janitor can cite the number of every story and every task. Need a new story? No problem, the Scrum janitor will add it for you.

Physical boards can’t escape the Scrum janitor either. Keeping the team board updated, the burndown charts current, and stickies in the right box are all fair game for the Scrum janitor.
