Handling user interaction

Mouse interaction allows a level of accuracy that is impossible to achieve with a finger. Take for example a simple button within a menu screen. With a mouse, the user will be able to make a selection with almost pixel-perfect precision. A finger, however, obscures parts of the screen, including the item being selected, and also makes contact with a larger area.

If your existing Flash applications are designed primarily for mouse interaction, then you will need to redesign your user interface to accommodate touch. The most beneficial changes you can make are to increase the size of your buttons and create larger hit targets around them.
