What Do We Mean by a Framework?
Rails is a framework. Flex is a framework. So why are we talking about frameworks again? For that matter, what do we mean when we say “framework”? Framework is kind of an overloaded term, to be sure, but in this instance, we mean: “A collection of utilities, classes, and patterns to help organize code and promote consistency.”
Framework classes help you follow the rules of the framework, and the patterns, when followed, help enforce the philosophy or style of the framework. The style or philosophy ...
