The purpose of this chapter is to give a brief overview of safety awareness. There is so much information available to the public about safe practices that many entire books have been dedicated to this subject and rightly so. There are many ways we can damage others and ourselves without intending to. It is surprising, scary, and truly fascinating what is taken for granted as being “safe”.
