Today, more images are placed onto the web than printed. The web has become a primary medium for communication, and images are as important on the web as they are for any print media. This chapter covers some considerations for web images, and provides some tasks useful for creating images for the web. It does not describe the entire process for creating web sites nor for creating complex web elements like rollovers and buttons; I am certainly not the one to provide this level of instruction, and these topics would certainly require much more space than these few pages.
