Chapter 2: Camera Raw: Standard Adjustments
AFTER YOU’VE DONE SOME INITIAL organizing and ranking of your photos, it’s time to begin adjusting and enhancing them. The photos from your camera will be in one of two file formats: Raw or JPEG. Raw files have to be adjusted using Camera Raw; we’ll get to what that is in a minute. For JPEGs, you could go right to Photoshop to adjust them. However, I recommend using Camera Raw whether you’re shooting in a Raw or JPEG format because it’s easy to use and offers a lot of flexibility in making adjustments to your photos. We’ll go into more detail when we start working in Camera Raw.
