Chapter 6: Photoshop: Selective Adjustments and Retouching

IN CAMERA RAW WE USED the Adjustment Brush to selectively apply adjustments. The equivalent in Photoshop is using layer masks along with adjustment layers. By using layer masks, you can take any of the adjustments discussed in Chapter 5 and apply them only to the areas of the photo that you want. After exploring these selective adjustments capabilities in this chapter, we’ll look at retouching using the Spot Healing Brush and Clone Stamp. These tools have more extensive retouching capabilities than what’s available in Camera Raw.
