IN OUR DAILY lives, we go through various types of light, probably without thinking about it. We wake up in the morning and turn on a lamp; go to our office, which is probably lit with fluorescent tubes; walk outside into the daylight for lunch; and then go back home at dusk. All of these environments bathe us in different colors of light, but we generally don’t register the color shifts because our brains adapt so well.
