I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

CHAPTER
The Basic Genogram
As presented in Chapter 1, the Basic Genogram is the organizing genogram for the MFG and the template for the Focused Genograms. Keeping in mind that the MFG allows for a comprehensive individual and family assessment, the Basic Genogram begins the process by providing the clinician an overview of the level of functioning for the family system. The specific topics that are explored in the Basic Genogram include overall assessment of functioning, marriage and divorce patterns, affairs, birth order, adoption, infertility and pregnancy loss, self-esteem, health and illness, and addictions.
