Attachments Genograms
With the structure of the family outlined by the Basic Genogram, the Attachments Genogram examines the psychological bonds within the family system. The Attachments Genogram links family-of-origin experience, marital dynamics, and interactional patterns within the family. Attachment theory, a psychobiological model proposed by Bowlby, provides a model that addresses the intricacies of intrapsychic-interpersonal process and suggests that bonding is essential for psychological comfort and security.
