Anger Genograms

In the previous chapter, the Emotions Genogram was presented. Anger was excluded because anger is a powerful, important, and complex emotion. Anger can create havoc in human relationships and has both psychological and physical effects on the individual and family. The hotreactor type A personality can lead to heart illness (Sotile, 1992). The destructive ways in which aggression and anger in the family can effect personality are discussed in this chapter. At its worst, anger can lead to the cycle of violence that destroys personal and family security through domestic violence, crime, and even death.
