Issue Tracker

While it’s not typically considered a communication channel, a great deal of information is communicated through a well-maintained issue tracker. Each popular version control system—GitHub, GitLab, and BitBucket—offer their own issue tracker integrated into the rest of their service. Other issue trackers you may see include but are not limited to Jira, Bugzilla, Redmine, Trac, and OTRS. Some project communities prefer this communication channel to all others and will ask people to open issues for all questions and discussions.
