Greenhouse gas – carbon dioxide emissions reduction technologies

This chapter begins by discussing the environmental and health effects of the greenhouse gases and emissions of the greenhouse gases, with an emphasis on those emitted from fossil fuel combustion, specifically CO₂. This is followed by discussions of the CO₂ capture technologies, transport and storage of CO₂, and the economics of CO₂ capture and sequestration. The chapter concludes with a discussion on the permanence, monitoring, mitigation, and verification of CO₂ capture and storage.
