FORMATS

With compositing and workflow, your main work product is an image or video, and you also hope that it's an asset that can be used not only in your current project, but also reused (licensed) in the future. Therefore, your work must be saved in some format that preserves its quality, while balancing the need for storage space with ease of access and future referencing. Unfortunately, asking a group of experts which format is best suited to these tasks will probably produce a variety of answers, each directed toward a different standard.
