In this chapter, I cover some of the more important topics to help save you from the frustration I once felt. I begin by talking about Drupal from a conceptual perspective. Using plain, non-geeked-out language, I explain how Drupal works and discuss several of the terms you need to understand when building a Drupal-powered web site. Next, I review the administrative interface and give a mile-high overview of each of the major administrative sections. Finally, I close with a step-by-step tutorial on how to create your first web page and menu link.
