3.3. Selection tools
Much of your interaction with bitmaps in any program involves creating selections. You select pixels to delete, copy, color, apply effects to, and more. Fireworks offers three types of selection tools: the marquee tools (for making rectangular or elliptical selections), the lasso tools (for making free-form or polygonal selections), and the Magic Wand tool (for like-color selections). Working together, these tools can cover the full range of your selection needs. Figure 3-4 shows an image with a lasso tool-based selection.
