Templates are one of Dreamweaver's best features. Instead of duplicating files and changing the content of the new page, common elements can be defined in a template and locked to ensure site-wide consistency. Dreamweaver notices when templates are updated and asks whether you want all associated pages based on the template to be updated—a process that typically takes only a few seconds for each page.
