In 1995, Nicholas Negroponte wrote Being Digital, a book that would become a classic among digital art, media, and lifestyle enthusiasts. While resurrecting a text as seemingly outdated as Negroponte’s digital hit may seem like the equivalent of starting this book with pictures of cave drawings, reflecting on the work from a vantage point of more than 15 years reveals Negroponte to be a true visionary.
