Horizontal axis shows the five subjects: Calculus, French, Economics, History and English. The vertical axis shows the grade point average, ranging from 0 to 4 in increment of 1. The graph shows two lines. The line labeled as “average grade after each course” moves on an upward curve, reaches a maximum value and stays there before falling down. The second line, labeled as “marginal grade” is drawn above the first line. It rises on a steeper upward curve than the first line, reaches a peak value and then falls down below the first line.

The readings from the graph for “marginal grade” and “average grade” for each of the five subjects are as below:

Calculus: 2; 2

French: 3; 2.5

Economics: 4; 3

History: 3; 3

English: 2; 2.75
