FXCOP IS A TOOL that analyzes managed assemblies and reports issues when an assembly does not conform to one or more design guidelines. After a brief introduction to FxCop and how it has evolved over time, the remainder of this appendix discusses FxCop rules that enforce each set of guidelines.
