Getting Help in Gnome

To access the Gnome Help System, click on the question mark icon in the bottom panel. This will open up the Gnome Help system (see Figure 5.13).

The Gnome Help system is a hypertext-based system that works just like Web pages on the World Wide Web, so it shouldn't take you long to become comfortable with the system.

The system is divided into four sections:

  • Gnome user's guide— The user's guide for Gnome.

  • Man pages— The FreeBSD manual pages. These can also be accessed from the command line using the man command and from the xman command, as discussed in a previous section of this chapter. ...
