Funding and Distributing

Crowd-sourced funding offers an opportunity for the inventor to both fund and publicize an invention. To us technical types, the business aspects of such projects are often considered trivial, but actually this is not an area that can be ignored.

Secrecy Versus Openness

This chapter does not talk about patents and other ways of protecting intellectual property. It probably should, and I encourage you to look elsewhere for information on this topic. This omission has two reasons. First, I have no experience in this area, and second, I think that an open-source model for hardware design has a lot to offer.
