Chapter 3. Develop
We now fill out the bare-bones outlines from the design phase with the activities that will support the learning process. We move from blueprinting to creating products such as instructor guides, visuals, and scripts or storyboards. The development phase is where we make the decisions—about activities, exercises, and approaches—that can make the difference between a ho-hum training session and a "wow" learning experience. Choosing particular strategies, developing detailed lesson plans and instructional materials, and providing train-the-trainer activities can be especially challenging for those who are designing instruction that will be delivered by, or with, other trainers.
