INTRODUCTION

Purpose

This book grew out of a quest to find real tools and techniques being used in the real world by real training practitioners. While you will likely recognize some of the names here, such as Jean Barbazette, Lou Russell, Patti Shank, Karl Kapp, Jennifer Hofmann, and Saul Carliner, others will be new to you. Many of the items were created by practitioners in need of a solution they couldn't find anywhere else, hence the inclusion of gold-mine material like Colette Haycraft's "Trainer's Planner for Offsite Training," the NC Training Network Team's "Find Your 20 Percent," and Nina Coil's "Seven Principles of Facilitation."
